Arquitectura: Creemos en un uso racional y sostenible de los recursos con los que se proyecta, se construye, y se vive la arquitectura. Nos interesan especialmente temas como la vivienda asequible, el espacio público, y la rehabilitación de edificios existentes, preocupándonos de cómo la arquitectura puede mejorar la vida en nuestro entorno. Architecture: We believe that the resources with which architecture is designed, constructed, and lived must be used rationally and sustainably. We are especially interested in affordable housing, public space, and adaptive reuse, concerning ourselves mainly with how architecture can help to make the built environment more livable.
Estructura: Somos consultores de estructuras en la edificación y nos ocupamos del diseño, cálculo y ejecución de la misma tanto en obra nueva como en obra existente (rehabilitaciones / restauraciones, ampliaciones, etc.). Realizamos también diagnosis y propuestas de reparación de patologías estructurales. Nuestro objetivo es, a la vez, la transmisión de conocimientos estructurales a nuestros clientes, aportándoles instrumentos que les ayuden en el diseño estructural. Con esta finalidad colaboramos en el diseño de las estructuras desde el anteproyecto, intentado conseguir la máxima fusión y avenencia entre arquitectura y estructura. Structure: We are consultants in the design, calculation, and execution of building structures both new and existing, including the diagnosis and repair of structural pathologies. Our objective is to transmit knowledge about structures to our clients, offering assistance during design development. By collaborating on the structural design of a project from the outset, a greater unity can be achieved between architecture and structure.
Carmela Torró Micó, arquitecta por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona (2000). Cursó Master de Estructuras Arquitectónicas en la Universitat Politécnica de Cataluña (2004). Ha colaborado en los despachos profesionales de los arquitectos consultores de estructuras Manuel Arguijo Vila (2003-2007), Juan Ignacio Eskubi Ugarte (1999-2003) y Eduardo Doce Goicoechea (1998-1999). Studied architecture at the ETSAB (Barcelona School of Architecture, 2000), with a Master in Architectonic Structures from the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia, 2004). Collaborated in the structural consultant offices of Manuel Arguijo Vila (2003-2007), Juan Ignacio Eskubi Ugarte (1999-2003) and Eduardo Doce Goicoechea (1998-1999).
Rafael Gómez-Moriana Korn, arquitecto por la University of Waterloo (Canadá, 1989). Cursó Master en el Berlage Institute (Amsterdam, 1995), y es profesor adjunto en la University of Calgary, dirigiendo el trimestre de arquitectura en Barcelona. Ha colaborado en los despachos profesionales de Helliwell + Smith · Blue Sky Architecture (Vancouver, Canadá 1995-96), Architectuurstudio Herman Hertzberger (Amsterdam, 1994), y Dan S. Hanganu Architectes (Montreal, 1988-1991). Studied architecture at the University of Waterloo (Canada, 1989) with a Master’s from the Berlage Institute (Amsterdam, 1995). Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Calgary, directing its Barcelona term-abroad program. Collaborated in the offices of Helliwell + Smith · Blue Sky Architecture (Vancouver, 1995-96), Architectuurstudio Herman Hertzberger (Amsterdam, 1994), and Dan S. Hanganu Architectes (Montreal, 1988-1991).
